Your mission:

  • As a Process Engineer, you will work on developing and implementing process strategies and optimizing current operation processes. You will cooperate with cross-functional teams (mill operation and maintenance, central IT teams, quality). Ultimately, the job is to maintain the efficiency of production in order to reduce costs. To ensure success as a Process Engineer you should have technical and analytical skills, general understanding of pulp and paper manufacturing and a deep passion for data and best practice.
  • Cooperate with production managers to assess existing processes
  • Draft process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates
  • Support performing of process simulations and troubleshooting issues
  • Support performing of optimization tests
  • Develop best practices to ensure process improvements
  • Cooperate with developing standardized operating instructions for the upgrades process
  • Present data and reports to senior colleagues and management
  • Assist Process Technicians in troubleshooting in the event of a problem

Your profile:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience in a similar role and with standard operating procedures
  • Advanced technical skills, analytical thnking and ability to interpret technical specifications/requirements
  • General understanding of data science methods, cleaning and mining data techniques
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%, mainly Europe)


Our offer:

  • Start: immediate start date possible, considering your availability (e.g. notice period)
  • Location: Group office Vienna – Marxergasse 4A, 1030 Vienna
  • Duration: unlimited/limited contract
  • Extent: full-time, 38 hours/week, all-in contract
  • We offer a minimum compensation package starting at € 45,000 gross/year on a full-time basis (38 hours/week), with the opportunity of overpayment depending on your experience, skills and qualification.
