Head of R&D Kraft Paper (f/m/x)

Role summary:
As Head of R&D Kraft Paper, you will shape the future of sustainable paper-based packaging by driving innovation, leading strategic R&D initiatives, and connecting technical expertise with business needs across our global network.
Your mission:
- Define and execute the product innovation strategy for the Kraft Paper segment and support cross-segment innovation projects.
- Lead the development of new paper grades and applications for strategic markets and emerging customer needs.
- Increase the use of internally produced papers in R&D projects across the value chain.
- Build strong partnerships with customers, suppliers, universities and research institutes to accelerate innovation and create customer value.
- Collaborate closely with experts across R&D, Operations and Sales to transform ideas into commercial solutions.
- Lead and develop the Kraft Paper R&D organization across Austria, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and potentially Canada.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and best-practice exchange across sites, functions and business segments.
Your profile:
- University degree in Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in R&D, product development or a comparable leadership role, ideally within the paper, packaging or related manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in leading and executing complex R&D and innovation projects from concept through commercialization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities combined with creativity, curiosity and an open-minded approach to innovation.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an advantage.
