The HRBP Technical & Sustainability and Procurement is a leadership partner for senior functional leaders in technical & sustainability and procurement functions to translate the function’s strategy into an impactful people and organization agenda. This role is accountable for driving organization effectiveness and talent excellence which includes optimizing span & layers, design and implementation of functional competency models, capability development frameworks/programs across a community of ~4,000 + technical, sustainability & procurement employees.
Your Mission:
- Strategically partner with the functional/business leaders and the Business HRPB’s to design and implement the most effective organisational structures to enable customer intimacy and speed & collaboration and manage transitions including clarity of roles and responsibilities as relevant.
- Drive workforce planning to ensure the function has the right skills and capacity to deliver on current and future demands.
- Drive the the talent agenda – functional talent roundtables – including succession planning for critical roles/ future skills needs.
- Hire HR Manager for senior functional roles meaning supporting the hiring managers in defining role profiles, partnering with the Talent Acquisition CoE to align the sourcing strategy or with Talent CoE to identify/assess internal talent and serve as the key HR partner in the selection process.
- Build capabilities through targeted learning and development in strong partnership with the Mondi Learning Leader (part of the Talent CoE).
- Provide direct, timely coaching to senior leaders to strengthen leadership capabilities and decision-making.
- Own HR agenda for functional excellence programs such as continuous improvement/lean
- Act as HR People Partner for the client managers.
- Guide talent development through strategic coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
- Own talent assessment processes to identify strengths, address development needs, and drive talent retention and recognition.
- Drive succession and talent strategies by identifying critical roles and building strong internal pipelines through mentoring, training, and development.
- Partner closely with HR Centres of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Analytics & Programs, Total Rewards, Talent & D&I, Compliance) to drive a cohesive and aligned HR agenda and consistent HR practices.
- Actively contribute as a member of the Mondi HR Leadership Team by driving cohesive decision-making, fostering collaboration across the HR teams, and supporting the development and execution of key HR initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local labor laws and internal HR policies, promoting fairness and consistency across all people-related matters.
Your Profile:
- Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in a Human Resources related area
- At least 10 years of professional experience in client-facing HR roles within production or processing industries
- Minimum 5 years as an HR Business Partner, supporting technical, production, or supply chain functions
- Demonstrated application of Lean principles in HR – a critical requirement
- Experience in leading an HR team is a plus
- Strong combination of blend of strategic capabilities and a pragmatic, hands-on approach
- Ability to effectively interface with senior leadership while connecting easily at all levels of the organisation
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR priorities with broader business objectives
- Developed (oral and written) communication and diplomacy skill set with the ability to influence others by presenting sound and logical arguments tailored to the audience
- Capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completion
- Proactive self-starter with a proven ability to prioritize effectively and operate independently, without relying on a team of direct reports, while successfully navigating and collaborating within a complex matrix environment.
- Ability to influence effectively and provide HR leadership in different business cycles and change environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations make judgments based on practice or previous experience
- Coaching and leadership assessment experience
- Fluent English
- Regular travel required (max 20%)
