Your mission:

  • Act as programme lead for environment and climate change for Mondi Group.
  • Build, organize and guide experts and high-level management network teams (e.g., Group Environmental Managers’ network, Environmental & climate change working groups of Mondi Action Plan 2030 (MAP2030) and act as internal expert and technical lead on environmental and climate change topics.
  • Support operational management in the implementation of best practice solutions (e.g., BAT standards) to enable operations to follow a systematic approach to achieve continuous improvement of their environmental performance.
  • Monitor and support the operational implementation and maintenance of relevant management systems (SD Management System (SDMS), ISO14001), incl. support for Mondi operations to comply with regulations and other requirements as outlined in our SDMS. 
  • Support the development of the Climate & Environmental Roadmaps (e.g., MAP2030 working group) and assess changes affecting the Group environmental performance and identify opportunities for improving environmental management. 
  • Monitor, assess and report the Group´s environmental KPIs, perform environmental visits and audits and support the implementation of corrective actions where required.
  • Monitor and follow up on environmental incidents and ensure corrective and preventive measures are effectively implemented.
  • Support the M&A team to conduct environmental due diligences.

 

Your profile: 

  • PhD or master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Experience in Environment or Technical Project Management in the sector or equivalent manufacturing environment, ideally with experience in the implementation of BAT standards at international level
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in a multinational matrix organisation
  • Proven track record of best practice achievements in industrial manufacturing process and change management
  • Proven record of environmental management system certification, environmental audit experience is an advantage 
  • Expertise and experience with greenhouse gas accounting and global reporting requirements such as TCFD, EU Taxonomy and CDP
  • A team player and team builder, with exceptional interpersonal skills, time and priorities management and the ability to maintain a sense of humour even in pressure situations
  • Excellent communicator in both written and verbal communication in English, we consider German or other languages an advantage
  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 60%)

 

Our offer:

  • Location: Group office Vienna, Marxergasse 4a, 1030 Vienna 
  • Duration: unlimited contract
  • Extent: full-time, 38 hours / week, all-in contract 
  • We offer a compensation package starting at € 75.000 gross/year on a full-time basis (38 hours/week), with the opportunity of overpayment depending on your experience, skills and qualification
