Your mission:

  • The main equipment areas you will be working on include power boilers, recovery boilers and turbines. Side areas are evaporation, caustification plant and limekiln. Your responsibilities will include the following:
  • provide expert optimization support of the equipment (based on the PPSD and ASPEN modeling)
  • develop and support the technology database of the equipment   
  • evaluate ideas on a technological basis
  • supply the technical part to project feasibility study
  • evaluate the main equipment supplier solutions during tendering 
  • develop the equipment concept to meet the project targets
  • support the local project team during the execution phase of CAPEX projects as well as the negotiation with suppliers together with commercial CAPEX team
  • support operations during the start-up of executed projects
  • refine CAPEX Ideas in tight cooperation with our mills 
  • screen new developments and technical solutions of suppliers
     

Your profile:

  • more than 3 years’ experience in operation of power production or manufacturing is an advantage
  • University degree in energy systems and thermodynamics, paper and pulp technology, chemical engineering or comparable with relevant work experience in this area
  • advanced level of modelling in the power plant simulator and designer (PPSD) and ASPEN Plus 
  • strong skills in analysing and presenting technology topics focused on commercial benefit
  • knowledge of the process of power production or pulp and paper technology and manufacturing are advantageous
  • very good organizational and project management skills as well as strong team-oriented working manner 
  • excellent command of English, any other language skills are beneficial
  • availability for regular business trips up to 80%

 

Our offer:

  • Start: immediate start date possible, considering your availability (e.g. notice period)
  • Location: Group office Vienna – Marxergasse 4A, 1030 Vienna
  • Duration: unlimited
  • Extent: full-time, 38 hours/week, all-in contract
  • Ref. Austrian “Bundes-Gleichbehandlungsgesetz”: The position is subject to the Austrian collective agreement of the “Papierverarbeitende Industrie” with a legal minimum wage of € 34,131.30 gross/year on a full-time basis plus overpayment. The overpayment is determined by the qualification of the jobholder.
