Category Manager Transport (f/m/x)

Your mission:

  • Develop and implement Transport Category Strategies in alignment with business units / segments and pulp & paper mills 
  • Identify and implement cost savings and quality improvements (TCO approach) for logistic services in our operations with special focus on rail & warehouse services 
  • Building up market intelligence for Rail inc. Intermodal and Warehouse services and improving data quality/availability in these sub-categories
  • Negotiate global and regional contracts and develop suppliers in alignment with Mondi Supplier Relationship Management process 
  • Supporting Mondi Sustainability targets by increasing Rail and Intermodal share of whole Mondi transportation network
  • Collaborate with regions and plants to scale up implementation across our major countries 
  • Participate and represent Transport Category in cross-functional working groups with Supply Chain Management, Plant Logistics, Sales, IT & Digital and Sustainability
  • Support in development of international logistics and distribution solutions

 
Your profile:

  • Min. 3 years working experience within Logistics, Forwarders, Transport Procurement environment of an European or global company 
  • Experience in Category Management and Strategic Purchasing for Transport & Logistics services for Rail (required); Road, Ocean or Warehousing are of advantage 
  • Excellent communication & Negotiation skills with internal / external stakeholders and suppliers
  • Experience with Transport Sourcing Tools and Excel Analysis of advantage
  • Proactive and result-driven team player
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills with multicultural awareness
  • Excellent organizational skills and structured way of working
  • Fluent in English, German of advantage, any other language(s) beneficial
  • Travelling up to 25% required

 
Our offer:

  • Start: immediate start date possible, considering your availability (e.g. notice period)
  • Location: Group office Vienna – Marxergasse 4A, 1030 Vienna (preferred). Mondi locations in Central and Eastern Europe to be discussed.
  • Duration: unlimited contract
  • Extent: full-time, 38 hours/week, all-in contract
