Your mission:

  • work along the entire corporate development value chain – from strategy, acquisitions and divestments to post-merger integration – of Mondi Group, a global leader in packaging and paper
  • identify and evaluate investment opportunities for Mondi Group and our Business Units
  • execute M&A projects globally, coordinating due diligence across our internal teams as well as external advisors
  • build and maintain financial and valuation models in MS Excel
  • support the post-merger integration of acquired businesses into Mondi Group
  • contribute to our strategy process and translate strategic priorities into our M&A effort

Your profile:

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in “bulge bracket” M&A or top-level strategy consulting, sector knowledge considered a plus
  • track record of working effectively, both individually and as a member of a dynamic team
  • commercial thinking based on good numeracy, good grasp of corporate finance concepts including customary valuation techniques
  • excellent communication and intercultural skills with a result-driven attitude and willingness to travel up to 50% of your time
  • effective multi-tasking in a fast-paced corporate environment, passion for continuous learning, critical thinking and sound judgement
  • business fluent in English, German or any other language skills considered a plus


Our offer:

  • Start: immediate start date possible, considering your availability (e.g. notice period)
  • Location: Group office Vienna – Marxergasse 4A, 1030 Vienna
  • Duration: unlimited contract
  • Extent: full-time, 38 hours/week, all-in contract
  • This position offers challenging tasks and broad exposure in a tightly knit, dynamic team that works directly with Mondi Group’s executive and senior management.
  • Ref. Austrian “Bundes-Gleichbehandlungsgesetz”: The position is subject to the Austrian collective agreement of the “Papierverarbeitende Industrie” with a legal minimum wage of € 32,556.58 gross/year on a full-time basis plus overpayment. The overpayment is determined by the qualification of the jobholder.
