This role requires onsite presence in Austria, Frantschach.
As MondiLabs FSL Chemical Compliance Manager, you will be a key member of the MondiLabs Food Safety Laboratory (FSL) - our central service department for all Mondi sites producing sensitive packaging solutions, including food contact materials and articles. MondiLabs FSL is an EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 accredited testing laboratory (Ident No. 0404). Our services include supplier communication on delivered goods, analytical investigations of raw materials, paper grades, paper packaging, composites, plastics, and customer articles, as well as testing of packed goods or their respective simulants. In addition, we support the Mondi sites with external communication, the development of customer-oriented packaging solutions, and the implementation and maintenance of hygiene management systems.
- Provide service support regarding supplier data for raw materials used at Mondi sites
- Support of the Mondi sites across the whole supply chain to answer customers’ specific questions
- Organize testing at internal and external laboratories (including communication with the laboratories)
- Conduct internal hygiene audits and support the implementation of hygiene management systems
- Deliver/conduct MondiLabs FSL trainings
- Collaborate on quality management measurements of the MondiLabs FSL and compliance with requirements according to ISO EN 17025:2018 Contact person for associations, universities and research centres, occasional participation at scientific events like congresses, symposia, seminars etc.
Your profile:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, food chemistry, toxicology or pharmacy
- Several years of experience, ideally in organic analytics, and in packaging applications
- Fluency in German and English; additional languages are an asset
- Willingness to travel (approx. 10%)
- Interest in managing industrial & scientific projects
- Advantageous: Experience as an ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management Representative and/or hygiene management system auditor

- We offer a minimum compensation package starting at € 55,000 gross/year on a full-time basis (38 hours/week), with the opportunity of overpayment depending on your experience, skills and qualification.
