Production-Scrap Baler

Job Summary:

The person in this position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks within the main manufacturing facility. Operates the scrap Baler and forklift. This person is responsible to service the production function in such a way as to facilitate smooth manufacturing operations. The person in this position should possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. This person will work under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

Your Mission:

• Must be able to accurately read and interpret plant order information, and complete required forms accurately and in a timely manner. 
• Operate powered equipment in accordance with all operational and safety guidelines. 
• Ensure that all production machines have the materials necessary to run continuously, without interruption. 
• Perform daily powered vehicle inspections to ensure safe use of equipment, fill propane tanks, and change battery, as needed. 
• Operates Baler machine, weighs bales and records information on scrap 
• Performs housekeeping duties in work area, including sweeping, mopping, picking up and disposing of trash. 
• Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so at all times.  
• Behave in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image.   

Your Profile:

• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.  
• High School diploma or equivalent required 
• Must have successfully completed the OSHA-certified powered industrial truck course (including written exam and driving test).
