Job Summary:
The Senior Director, IT Americas is the senior technology leader for the Mondi Americas region, spanning all business segments. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the regional IT strategy while ensuring the stability, security, performance, and scalability of IT and OT systems that support manufacturing, supply chain, and business operations. The role leads regional IT teams, manages strategic service provider partnerships, and works closely with global IT counterparts to ensure alignment with Mondi Group standards and OneIT principles. With a strong hands-on leadership approach, this position partners with business leaders to translate operational needs into pragmatic, value-adding technology solutions that enable operational excellence and long-term business success.
Your Mission:
• Define and execute the IT strategy for the Americas region in alignment with Mondi Group strategy and business objectives
• Ensure reliable, high-availability IT and OT operations across manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics environments
• Oversee the delivery of IT infrastructure services, including networks, voice systems, servers, end-user computing, and help desk operations
• Lead and strengthen IT and OT security across infrastructure, networks, client environments, and manufacturing systems
• Standardize and stabilize IT operations across regional sites by implementing OneIT standards, governance, and core processes
• Partner with business unit leaders to define priorities, align technology initiatives with operational needs, and optimize budgets and resources
• Deliver clear, actionable performance metrics to senior leadership, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure robust IT business continuity and disaster recovery for critical applications
• Lead vendor and supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, to secure cost-effective, high-value technology solutions
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing regional IT organization with strong accountability and execution discipline
• Communicate and cascade Mondi’s mission, vision, and strategic direction throughout the IT function
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities that improve efficiency and overall company performance
Your Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations, and engineering roles
• At least 7 years of experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments preferred
• Proven experience leading IT teams supporting factories and operational sites
• Strong expertise in IT operations for manufacturing and production requirements
• Solid understanding of SAP and enterprise application environments
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and scale IT teams across multiple locations
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with executive and operational leaders
• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on, execution-focused leadership style
• Track record of delivering complex infrastructure and network projects in operational environments
Travel & Location:
• Regular travel to Americas production sites
• Up to 50% travel, including Canada and Mexico
• Competitive compensation package with base salary range of $165,000–$190,000 and an annual performance-based bonus
