Role responsibilities

  • ​​​Develop and implement a comprehensive compensation and benefits strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. 
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and benchmarking data to ensure the company's compensation and benefits packages are competitive. 

  • Develop and manage the annual budget for compensation and benefits programs. 

  • Collaborate with businesses & sites to ensure consistency in compensation and benefits policies across the company.  

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to compensation and benefits.  

  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness programs. 

  • Support compensation programs including benchmarking, equal pay analysis and job levelling. 

  • Work with the HR team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits. 

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation and benefits-related matters. 

  • Travel as needed to plant locations – approximately 10% 

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; CEBS or GBA certification preferred. 

 

Experience 

  • ​​​​​At least 10 years of experience in compensation and benefits administration or a related field, with a proven track record of designing and managing large-scale compensation and benefits programs in a multi-state or multi-national environment. 
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and best practices related to compensation and benefits, such as FLSA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Section 125. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data, market trends and benchmarking data to design competitive compensation and benefits programs. 

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization. 

  • Experience leading and providing guidance and mentorship to team members.  

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects within prescribed deadlines.
