Your Mission

  • Perform mechanical instrumentation repair and maintenance services on plant and equipment.
  • Execute diagnostic activities including testing, inspection, troubleshooting, fault finding, measuring, checking, and recording.
  • Reduce downtime and minimize breakdowns through effective fault resolution.
  • Improve plant and equipment availability by applying best maintenance practices.
  • Conduct prescribed periodic audits and inspections to minimize risk of failure.
  • Carry out all tasks safely in accordance with operating procedures, policies, and safety standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on plant and equipment as per maintenance plans.

 

Your profile

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
  • Qualified and trade-tested Mechanician: Instrumentation.
  • 2–3 years’ experience as a qualified, trade-tested Mechanician within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven technical experience in Mechanical Instrumentation within the Pulp and Paper industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of systems, from concept through to practical implementation.
  • Hands-on craftsmanship with pride in manufacturing and repair quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
