Your Mission:

  • Perform specialized mechanician instrumentation duties in the operations on plant and equipment related to instrumentation repair and maintenance services as well as preventative maintenance on components.
  • Perform instrumentation diagnostic duties by executing actions related to; test, inspect, troubleshooting and fault finding, check, measure, record, etc. to achieve outcomes such as reducing downtime, minimizing breakdowns, improving availability of plant and equipment.
  • Activate periodically prescribed audits and inspections to minimize risks of failure
  • Operate and execute all tasks safely according to operating procedures and policy
  • Perform and execute preventative maintenance duties on equipment and plant

 

Your Profile:

  • Matric plus completed N3
  • Qualified trade tested as an Instrumentation Mechanician
  • 2 – 3 years of experience as a qualified, trade tested Instrumentation Mechanician within a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Profibus PA and DP experience or a strong technical background working with industrial fieldbus communication systems.
  • DCS knowledge and hands-on experience, including system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • PLC knowledge and experience, including programming, fault-finding, and system integration
  • Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry would be advantageous
  • Code 08 (EB) Driver’s License
