Your mission

• This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time.
• Insures the safety and welfare of all employees working in and around your workstation. Insure all proper PPE is being worn by yourself and helpers, and any other persons working in the immediate area.
• Logs onto computer system and reviews machine assignments and schedule. -Reviews product specifications, and insures that correct material is staged to be run on machine.
• Reviews product specifications, insures that correct printing plate has been brought, and helps to install into machine.
• Assigns to helpers and oversees the setting up of primer and printing stations, if required by product specifications.
• Reviews product specifications and insures that correct coating rollers and sleeves are being used, and that the correct silicone and formulation is present.
• Assign tasks to the helpers, also assisting them to get cores ready, and rolls placed onto unwind.
• Oversees the loading of material onto unwind spindles and threading of substrates through machine, assisting helpers.
• Reviews product specification and insures that the machine settings are properly set. (I.E: oven temps, tension settings, moisturizer settings, and any and all other control panel settings).
• Starts machine and observes the flow of material through all sections of the coater, detecting any problems and/or concerns. Takes action to correct problems as needed with the set up.
• Insures that a quality sample has been taken and given to lab techs to inspect and test. Does not run product until approved by QC.
• Trouble shoots all problems related to out of spec product and makes necessary adjustments to bring product into spec. Re-submits samples of material to QC for evaluation.
• Runs the machine at proper specified speed and monitors all conditions while in run mode.
• Finishes require quantities, per schedule.
• Creates necessary labels and paperwork, and applies to finished rolls. Insures for accuracy and correctness.
• Makes required data entry into production computer system per order.
• Insures finished rolls are taken off rewind and packaged properly for shipment to Slitting building.
• Be part of CI projects in order to maximize machine uptime through changeovers and set ups reduction and eliminate, or minimize, waste and scrap.
• Fully involve in 5S activities to make sure work areas, machine, tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Perform autonomous Maintenance when required.

Your profile

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical ability necessary.
• Ability to work various shifts.
