Electrician Certified

Your mission:
Reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, the Electrician will be a key player in a company-wide continuous improvement effort through daily use of predictive and preventative maintenance strategies. As a member of this high performing team, you will be responsible for working safely within the pulp mill.

  • Performing electrical repairs and maintenance in accordance with electrical code specifications, including but not limited to assembling, installing, repairing and maintaining electrical equipment and components 
  • Testing, troubleshooting and isolating faults in electrical and electronic systems and replacing faulty components as required
  • Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ensuring consistent operations of all electrical equipment 
  • Verification and documentation of repairs


Your profile:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • A valid Alberta Electrician Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification required. 
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a live plant
  • Mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
  • Experience in an industrial environment with VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, HMIs
  • Experience with high voltage (600-23,000 volts)
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • The desire to progress, learn, grow and succeed
