Electrical Engineer

Your mission:
Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, the Electrical Engineer will be a key player in overall plant asset management and reliability supporting the safe production of pulp. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time.

  • Electrical Engineering for capital and maintenance projects.
  • Contribute to Asset life cycle planning and continual maintenance.
  • Maintain plant standards for electrical assets.
  • All aspects of E&I change management workorder and project execution, planning, design, scoping, construction supervision, commissioning, and project completion.

 

Your profile:

  • Demonstrated successful execution of E&I Projects including design, specification, contracting, install, commissioning, and operations/maintenance turnover.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in an industrial environment with VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, DCS.
  • Experience with various electrical systems (600V-13.8kV).
  • 5-10 years’ experience in an operating plant environment – Pulp Mill experience preferred.
