Harvesting & Transport Forester Greytown

Your mission

 

  • Reporting to the Snr Harvesting & Transport Forester, the incumbent in this position will assist with the management of modernised harvesting and transport operations in the area.
  • Conduct quality, quantity and safety audits.
  • Ensure compliance to the FSC, ISO and NOSA standards.
  • Ensure compliance and maintenance of safety standards.
  • Manage mechanised harvesting contractors in both Pine and Gum.
  • Manages loading of road transport trucks from depots or roadside.
  • Control deliveries and budget.
  • Production planning and adherence to APO targets.
  • Ensure data integrity of the compartment information database.
  • Road Management, Maintenance and Capex projects
  • Ensure good governance is maintained
  •          Fire Protection & Fire Standby.
  • Improve productivity through innovation and optimise cost efficiencies in all operations

 

Your profile

 

  • Diploma / B Tech or BSc Degree in Forestry
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Experience in the management of contractors
  • In depth knowledge of Harvesting
  • Valid driver’s license
