Your mission
- Lead end-to-end CAPEX projects for new machinery, automation systems, and major plant upgrades, including scope definition, budget planning, timelines, technical specifications, and risk assessments
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage external partners such as OEMs, engineering firms, and contractors; oversee procurement, vendor selection, quotation analysis, and contract negotiation
- Oversee installation, commissioning, testing, acceptance, and handover to operations while ensuring smooth ramp-up and long-term equipment performance
- Drive process optimization and standardization using Lean principles to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and throughput
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, engineering guidelines, and industry standards; prepare and maintain technical documentation, layouts, specifications, and project reports
- Conduct feasibility studies, payback calculations, and data-driven evaluations to support investment decisions
- Lead troubleshooting for equipment and process issues during project execution and support digitalization initiatives such as data systems and predictive maintenance concepts
- Monitor equipment performance post-handover, contribute to continuous improvement programs, and report project status to plant management
Your profile
- Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical qualification, with several years of experience in production-related project management
- Strong understanding of machinery, automation, plant layouts, end-to-end production workflows, and solid technical knowledge of production/corrugated equipment and reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA)
- Proven track record in leading CAPEX projects and implementing new equipment or process improvements; PRINCE2, PMI, or similar certification is a plus
- Experience managing multidisciplinary projects (mechanical, electrical, automation, controls) and ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and automation schematics
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements; familiarity with SAP, MES, or digital maintenance/CMMS tools is an advantage
- Knowledge of CE marking, machine directives, and relevant industry standards
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams; fluent in English and German
- Structured, proactive, hands-on mindset with strong ownership, resilience, solution orientation, and willingness to travel
