Role Summary

You will lead HR for Mondi's Ebersdorf plant (~700 employees), building a strong HR team and driving culture, talent, performance, and employee engagement. Partner with site leadership to deliver HR excellence and execute people strategies that support business and Mondi goals.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to the Site Leadership Team, driving people strategies that support business and Mondi goals.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing HR team while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Partner with managers to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent across the site.
  • Lead core HR processes, including performance management, succession planning, compensation, onboarding, and leadership development.
  • Serve as the primary advisor on employee relations matters, including works council/union partnerships, conflict resolution, and investigations.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Centers of Expertise, and Payroll teams to deliver a seamless and aligned employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and the highest standards of ethics, governance, and confidentiality.

 

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of HR experience, including several years in a business partnering role, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, works council/union collaboration, and German labor law.
  • Proven ability to influence, coach, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and change management skills in a complex matrix environment.
  • Passion for people, continuous improvement, and delivering innovative HR solutions.
  • Fluent in German and English, with high integrity and a strong commitment to compliance and confidentiality.
