Summary:
The purpose of the Production Scheduler is to be the bridge between Customer Service and Purchasing to ensure accurate information is given to the floor through the production plan so that lead times and delivery dates are met as promised to the customer. In addition, the role is responsible for all the artwork management and printing plate needs for scheduling.
Your Mission:

Review schedules daily with completed production/print/slits and report deviations

Communicate deviation results to procurement/Customer Service Representative/production to determine if additional material/machine time is required or if the order is closed short

Analyze machine schedules and determine inline/pre-printer requirements

Communicate updates to the teams as changes are made

Involvement in trials planning and execution

Start the process of new artwork or artwork change to the final approval

Print and check all production orders

Sample bags owner. Must check samples before putting away and remove samples that are a year old.

Assist and support the production team to plan maintenance

Work closely with Shift Leaders, Customer Service Representatives, material handlers, slitter operator, ink maker and mounting as needed for scheduling purposes

Verify raw material availability with procurement team to ensure production is not disrupted due to material shortage

Resolves problems by collecting and analyzing information, coordinating solutions

Ensures that all administration procedures are followed and executed in a professional manner

Support overall management needs

Must be able to work in a schedule driven environment; Timing is a critical function and ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency

Coordinate month end inventory for preprinted stock

Monitor preprint stock to assign to new orders

Inform any changes to raw goods from or to purchasing regarding paper changes, reprinting, or required slitting

Whether it is a new printing plate requisition or a plate replacement, it is your responsibility to be the point of contact with all Mondi plants (US and MX) assigning a delivery date based on business priorities

Point of contact with the plant controller for all matters related to billing, providing all necessary information at the end of the month to maintain cost and billing control
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Ability to self-direct activities, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a changing environment with strong problem-solving skills

Provide direct supervision of team and drive accountability

Communication with the team to create organizational awareness and transparency
Your Profile:
-
A minimum of 3 years as a Production Scheduler-Planner in a manufacturing environment

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field
-
SAP knowledge is required
-
Excellent written and verbal skills required
-
Results driven, effective decision maker; Ability to work independently

Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities; Ability to use discretion with confidential and sensitive information

Must be able to use the following computer programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Strong analytical and organizational skills, detailed oriented, and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management
-
Must be willing to work over 8 hours Monday-Friday when needed to meet business needs

Occasional travel as needed
